Caddies Fee – Additional gratuity is at the player’s discretion

“AA” Rating – $80.00-$100.00 per bag + gratuity
“A” Rating – $60.00 per bag + gratuity
“B” Rating – $40.00 per bag + gratuity
“Rookie” Rating - $30.00 per bag + gratuity

Founded in 1949, the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund is considered the golf charity of Massachusetts. As a 501c3 organization, the Ouimet Fund’s purpose is to help deserving young men and women who have worked at golf courses in Massachusetts afford a college education. Applicants who have completed at least two years of this golf related work are eligible to apply for these renewable, need-based awards that, on average, are worth approximately $24,000 over four years. Since 1949, the Ouimet Fund has awarded $40 Million to 6,180 Ouimet Scholars. Many Essex County Club employees are proud Ouimet Scholars and Alumni and we thank our membership for their financial support.

The principal funding for the Ouimet Fund comes from the Bag Tag program and the Ouimet Golf Sprint/Marathon. Club members’ voluntary Bag Tag contributions are automatically invoiced each spring – Please contact the business office if you would like to increase your donation or opt out. Each year members of our golf staff participate in the Ouimet Golf Sprint/Marathon. We encourage members to support the team through a per hole donation or a fixed contribution.

The bag tag donation for 2024 will be $100. The Golf Committee strongly urges all players to support this extremely worthwhile program.
